InxDefinitely is a painting highlighting the complexity around my Identity and concept of intersectionality. the painting weaves together elements of my diverse heritage. Starting with central figure, adorned in traditional Hausa Fulani attire but with what appears to be a western style trouser, represents the artist's cultural roots. 

The UK flag signifies where I am from in regards to birthplace and upbringing, illustrating the navigation of a dual nationality. But also portrait of Marcus Garvey symbolises 'unified blackness' something that mainly exist outside of the motherland, almost as solidarity or unique lived experience where “black people” aren’t the majority and have gone on to create sub-cultures if we may say. The book on the table doubles down on that rhetoric emphasises the importance of heritage and knowledge, while the smoke conveys the tension ( the way one might say smoke in the air) and conflicts inherent in these overlapping identities. Together, these elements create a narrative of cultural unity and ongoing struggles for identity in a multifaceted world
