The piece confronts how systems of power often co-opt narratives of resilience, offering selective inclusion into elite circles while subtly reinforcing control. It examines the tension between achievement and autonomy, between visibility and manipulation. In doing so, it mirrors the broader experience of navigating identity within globalism — where the celebration of difference sometimes becomes a tool of assimilation rather than true empowerment
