About the Artwork
Where Flowers Bloom Again is a four-part series that meditates on the quiet, persistent
act of choosing to believe in beauty after loss. Each piece honors the complexity of hope not
as naive optimism, but as a tender, resilient force rebuilt through grief, healing, and faith in
the unseen. Using bold floral impasto textures, oil paint, and fragments of denim symbolizing
memory, labor, and lived experience, these works explore how we move forward when
certainty dissolves. The figures depicted are not untouched by hardship; rather, they carry
it, wear it, and grow through it. Through layered textures, symbolic materials, and
contrasting tones, the series captures the process of reconstructing hope from fragments,
transforming despair into possibility. Floral forms emerge from the surface like
declarations: fragile, defiant, alive. They do not deny the struggle they grow out of it. Each
piece offers a visual meditation on renewal, inviting the viewer to witness what happens when
the soul stretches toward the light again softly, slowly, and with intention
