Don't get me wrong, children are quite simple... Their seemingly endless reserve of energy and joy and yet there's this quiet side of them that will make you wonder what runs through their mind. Their minds are like sponges and fragile, easily influenced by circumstances and those around them... Whatever they take in at an early stage can be the building block of their character into adult hood. We ought to do our best to protect them physical and mentally, build them up morally and spiritually so they can stand firm in the pains of this world that tries to rob their joy.
I lost my father at the age of 7 and ever since it almost feels like my childhood went poof and I had to "be a man" it was an overwhelming experience for me because what makes a man and how can I be a man were running through my mind and my joy was robbed... Sank into quietness and depression at very young age.

Lets give them hope and joy as they grow into maturity. Matthew 19:13-15
