About Muktar Yusuf
Artist Biography
Muktar Yusuf is a visual artist based in Lagos with a fantastical approach to his visual narrative. His visual aesthetic are rooted in metaphysical philosophies of Hope and Light influenced by comic book visuals and traditional impressionistic techniques.
He has exhibited in numerous local exhibitions such as Thought Pyramid Undiscovered Abuja 2.0, The Artist Commune 10th edition, Integrity Nigeria Art4Integrity exhibition and the Benin Art Fair. He has participate in a few international exhibitions and gained quite a recognition as well as magazine features such as DERASOARS Beyond The Fragments International Virtual exhibition, ABSA L’ Atlelier promotionals, Lumen Gallery Contest, BOLD Journey interview and Poiema Magazine feature.
Aside being an artist, Muktar is an illustrator with a dream, an art tutor at heart, a graduate of Zaria Art School and a fiery young blood ready to push the boundaries of life.
