In “MY SELF,” the second piece in my ongoing series, I explore the concept of identity and self-perception through the imagery of a “pot head.” In this work, the pot serves as a metaphor for the human mind—a vessel that holds our thoughts, emotions, and experiences. The head symbolizes the tension between external expectations and internal realities, while the use of the pot introduces a sense of tradition, history, and rootedness.
The series plays with the idea that, much like a pot, the self is molded over time—shaped by both external forces and personal choices. The cracks, textures, and colors reflect the imperfections and unique narratives we carry within us. In My Self, I wanted to capture that delicate balance between strength and fragility, individuality and universality.
Through this piece, I invite viewers to reflect on their own sense of identity—what they nurture within their own ‘vessel’ and how it impacts their journey of self-discovery.
