About Kolawole Adedeji
I’m kolawole Adedeji, a visual contemporary artist from Nigeria. My artistic style is driven by a deep sense of traditional African style and the cultural background of it's origin. My practise flows from my own personal experiences and feelings, interplaying abstract and figurative ideas with mental images, and converting those ideas to works of arts. I strive to capture the collective elements of natural influence, societal values and memories to transverse the beauty of different cultural background, environmental values in my works. In my paintings, I attempt to convey a deeper understanding of art and experience through architectural ideas of symbolic forms/shapes/patterns. My use of vibrant colours and attention to detail, are significant elements required to represent/explain my personal identity through my art.
