About Andrew Akinbodewa

Andrew Akinbodewa is a dedicated and resourceful Art, Culture and Education professional with proven abilities in discovering, nurturing and promoting art and related creative skills. He hails from Ifirin – Afo in Ose Local Government of Ondo State. He is a product of The Polytechnic Ibadan, Oyo State in 1996 and alumni of University of Nottingham. Andrew is a master artist who expresses himself with interplay of attractive colours, lines and flowing patterns; with dexterity to switch from expressive wide strokes to subdue colour applications. He is a versatile painter with great tenacity to maneuver between different painting genres. Andrew has been practicing for three decades and has participated in over thirty group exhibitions with notable commissions to his credit. Some of his works can be found in private and corporate collections within Nigeria and abroad. He is a fellow (fsna), a two term Financial Secretary and current Treasurer of the Society of Nigerian Artists (Lagos State Chapter). He is the current General Secretary of Gessomate Professional Art Society.
