Art Africa Buyer Terms and Condition

All sold artwork(s) are shipped directly by the artist or the art gallery.

All shipped items will be shipped using a signed for, and trackable courier service. A tracking number will be provided by the buyer once shipment of the item has been begun and your order status has been updated on the art.africa platform.

All sold artwork(s) are shipped using signed delivery from an authorized courier service such as FedEx, DHL, UPS, EMS, or any other national postal service that provides shipment tracking and proof of delivery.

Art.Africa provides an escrow service for the monies / payment made to the artist, the funds are held on account and paid out on successful completion of the sales transaction, validated proof of shipment (tracking number) and signed delivery. The payment made to Art.Africa are held in a client money account.

Should you wish to file a complaint about the received item, please contact our support team using the messaging centre from your orders page on our website. Our support team will work with you to ensure a reasonable and satisfactory outcome is reached after careful consideration of the case.

You may be eligible for a store credit, or partial refund less the cost of shipping and, import/export taxes. A store credit would only be issued upon successful and signed delivery to the return address provided by the support team online.

Please ensure you have received a return confirmation before returning your order. Unapproved returns will not be refunded by Art Africa. Returns must be carefully and correctly packaged and shipped in the original wrapping, and be in the same condition as received.

Returns must be organized with the artist or the art gallery directly. All communications with the artist must be carried out via the Art.Africa messaging centre, this can be found within my orders page. This allows our support team to assist with arbitration.

We will not be able to open a case if direct contact or negotiations has been held or is in progress with the seller outside of the art.africa platform.

Purchases for delivery outside the United Kingdom, shipping internationally may be subject to import, export, custom duties, and international taxes. This varies and will be subject to the laws of the destination country. Please note that this amount is not included in your final checkout price as we are unable to advise on the custom fees or taxes due.

The buyer is responsible for payment of these charges. Non delivery of the goods due to non-payment of the import fees, custom duties or tax is not reasonable grounds for a return, refund, or store credit.

The amount due will be communicated to you by the shipping company or courier when the shipped goods arrive the customs office within the destination country. The calculated amount due is subject to the declared value of the shipped item by the artist or art gallery.

The same process will apply for a returned item, please do not return an item until a case has been opened and approved. A return reference id provided by the support team will be required before a or store credit can be authorized.
