Through my encounters with individuals perceived as ‘tough’ on Lagos streets, I’ve discovered that beneath their rugged exterior lies a shared humanity, revealing softness and sanity. The Street and a Flower, reflects my perspective on identity and social bias, highlighting the impossibility of truly knowing someone from a distance. This piece personifies the street and the lives of everyday individuals like myself, who find themselves in unexpected places.
