This is a retrospective piece, while growing up, I noticed my father would always sit alone in a particular corner of the compound, thinking all to himself …….. years later a senior colleague told me …….”when you grow up and start having your own family and start paying bills, you will understand why your father always sits in that corner every evening “…….. here I am today as a father, husband, uncle, Inlaw…… these realities has dawned on me .
