ARTIST STATEMENT The realistic Watercolour paintings of Patience Anthony are profoundly inspired by his life experiences and environment where he lives. His paintings in promoting peace help we (Ordinary people ) to identify with one another and expand the notion(understanding) of we with living in harmony irrespective of our different beliefs and Ethnicity. He chooses to use art as a powerful means to tell subtle stories from Society about promoting human dignity, well being and social solidarity among the Ordinary people as he records Visual data by capturing reality with what we see through the painting technique. He believes that one of the major responsibilities of an artist is the idea that artists help people not only to know and understand something with their minds but also to feel emotionally and physically attached which spurs an individual into thinking, engagement and action.
